Transfers & departures
Where does pacific sunrise depart from?
Pacific sunrise departs from the Southern end of Abel Point Marina which is only
a short distance from the centre of Airlie Beach. We ask that you meet our crew
at 3 pm Gloria's Cafe for a 4 pm vessel departure. Should you experience a flight
delay or other time constraint, please contact our booking office immediately.

Transfers
Taxis can pick up from all accommodation houses and from the Marina for return
transfers. Some accommodation houses may have shuttle facilities.
Transfers from Whitsunday coast Airport:
Shuttle buses & taxis operate from Whitsunday coast airport into Airlie beach & Abel
point marina. Shuttle Bus will cost approx $17.00 each way and taxis approx $80.00
each way. Travel times will vary between 30 & 45 min.
Transfers from Hamilton Island Airport
Cruise Whitsundays offer direct ferry transfers from Hamilton Island Airport
to Abel Point Marina, Airlie Beach adjacent to the departure point for Pacific
Sunrise. You must book these tickets in advance
of your arrival at Hamilton Island Airport.
Alternatively Fantasea Cruises offer ferry transfers from Hamilton Island Airport
to Shute Harbour. Ferry tickets for can be purchased at the airport. From Shute
Harbour bus & taxi services are available to Airlie beach, approx 15min travel
time. Ferry staff will be able to assist you with questions and concerns.
Be sure to talk with us at the time of booking about your travel requirements,
so we can make the necessary arrangements for you.
What to bring
You will need swim wear, beach towel , sunscreen, hat ,casual clothing & casual
comfortable footwear for walking on the islands. (Smart casual wear is acceptable
for dinner and any resort visits). In the winter months warmer clothing may be
required for cooler nights. Snorkel equipment are provided on board. Some people
do prefer to bring their own snorkel mask especially if a prescription mask is
required.
The vessel has a fully licensed bar so you may not bring your own alcohol.
What is included:
All meals are provided including morning, afternoon tea and pre dinner Hor’s’d
ouevre’s.
Free activities include snorkelling, kayaks, glass bottom boat, island walks.

4. Please note there is a fee levied on all passengers to cover park entry fees
and administration costs. Fees are charged by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park
Authority and Queensland Parks and Wildlife for entry into the Marine and National
Parks and the overall fee includes these costs and our administration costs and
are subject to change and are payable at check in. At the time of printing a
total fee of $39 (approx $13 per day) is recommended by the Whitsunday Charter
Boat Industry Association for a 3 day cruise to cover all these costs and includes
EMC of $5.00 per day, Commercial Activity Permit Fee of $1.45 per day, Administration
Fees of $6.55 per day including GST.
The vessel is equipped with EFTPOS facilities so you don’t have to carry
cash and there is a 1.5% surcharge for credit card purchases. We accept
Mastercard and VISA.
Excess luggage
There is cabin space on board Pacific Sunrise, But it is a requirement not to
bring on large suitcases, excess luggage or luggage over 20kg per person we do
recommend for your comfort, where possible to only bring what you need in soft
bags. If you are travelling which excess luggage this can be stored whilst you're
at sea at our manifesting office Oz Adventure Sailing Level 2/293 Shute Harbour
Road Airlie Beach for $5pp for the duration of your cruise, please let us know
at the time of booking or at least one week prior if you require assistance in
taking your bags to the office i.e. late arrival to meet Pacific Sunrise for
it's departure time.
Special Diets
Our chef is more to happy to cater for special diets. Please notify us at time
of booking or one week prior to departure so that we may accommodate you adequately.
Power on board
All suites are equipped with 240v power outlets so you may charge cameras, phones
etc. international travellers may require the appropriate adapters.
Special occasions
If you are celebrating a special occasion during your time on board, inform us
at time of booking or one week prior to travel and we may be able to assist in
making that occasion extra special.
